Not only since the fall of the Iron Curtain and the EU enlargement into Eastern Europe, Vienna has re-established itself as a hub between cultures. This city has always played a dominant role in exploring and representing an incredibly exciting blend of various nationalities and cultural belongings.
Today's significance of this city is mainly embodied by the status of its museums, theaters, operas and other socio-cultural facilities. Events like the Viennale (this year celebrating its 50th anniversary), the Vienna Design Week (since 2007) and the Vienna Fashion Week (since 2009) illustrate and promote the rise of international recognition.
In the middle of this evolving spirit, stilage vienna takes its part as a community of people cherishing urban street style.
stilage was founded by Daniel Lichter and Philipp Stern in Paris, July 2010.

Obwohl es in den letzten Jahren vereinzelte temporäre Street Style Blogs in Wien gab, empfinden wir, dass eine Stadt, die kulturellen Weltrang für sich beansprucht, eine ständige Beobachtung ihrer Straßenmode und Vielfältigkeit verdient.
Nicht erst seit dem Fall des Eisernen Vorhangs und der EU-Osterweiterung hat sich Wien als Schaltstelle zwischen Kulturen re-etabliert. Schon immer spielte diese Stadt eine Vorreiterrolle, wenn es darum ging, eine aufregende Melange verschiedenster Nationalitäten und kultureller Hintergründe zu erkunden und repräsentieren.
Die heutige Bedeutung dieser Stadt manifestiert sich vor allem im Status ihrer Museen, Theater, Opernhäuser und anderer sozio-kultureller Einrichtungen. Veranstaltungen wie die Viennale (die dieses Jahr ihr 50. Jubiläum feiert), die Vienna Design Week (seit 2007) und die Vienna Fashion Week (seit 2009) illustrieren und fördern die internationale Reputation Wiens.

Vienne a été témoin de projets discontinus et temporaires ces dernières années. Cependant, nous (l'équipe stilage) sommes d'avis qu'une ville de telle ampleur culturelle, est digne d'une observation cohérente pour tout ce qui touche la mode de la rue et ses styles différents.
D'abord la chute du rideau de fer, puis l'élargissement de l'Union européenne vers l'Europe de l'est , Vienne s'est re-établi comme plaque tournante culturelle. Cette ville a toujours joué un rôle primordial en tant que mélange palpitant de nationalités et d'origines différentes.
La signification actuelle de cette ville se manifeste principalement dans le statut de ses musées, théâtres, opéras et autres institutions socio-culturelles. Les événements comme la Viennale (le 50e fois cette année), la Vienna Design Week (depuis 2007) et la Vienna Fashion Week (depuis 2009) concrétisèrent et font progresser sa réputation internationale.
